Oxley Wild Rivers National Park
A great additional lookout often overshadowed by the main gorge lookout, which offers more views into the gorge.
This lightly trafficked walk starts from the car park at the end of Edgars Lookout Road, just around the corner from the main Wollomombi Falls lookout and near the Wollomombi campground.
It is a very short stroll on a paved path to the constructed lookout, and so is wheelchair accessible and suitable for families with strollers.
The lookout offers magnificent views of the gorge below, as the Chandler River winds downstream past Green Gully.
Oxley Wild Rivers National Park can be visited as part of the 185 km Waterfall Way scenic drive from Coffs Harbour to Armidale.
Track: The track consists of a paved, flat path. It is well-signed and easy to follow.
Difficulty: The track is suitable for all walkers and is wheelchair accessible and suitable for families with strollers.
Direction: This is an out-and-back track that returns the way it came.
getting there
The trail starts from the car park at the end of Edgars Lookout Road, just around the corner from the main falls lookout and near the Wollomombi campground – approximately 5.5 hours drive south of Brisbane, 30 minutes drive east of Armidale, 2 hours drive west of Coffs Harbour or 6.5 hours drive north of Sydney.
There is a short section of unsealed road on the way to the picnic area, however is suitable for 2WD vehicles in normal weather conditions.
Parking is typically ample for how trafficked the walk is.

The walk can be completed year-round.
